360 cameras use multiple cameras to film, so once you have shot your footage it is likely you will need to stitch it. Stitching is the process in which various videos are combined with overlapping fields. Different makes of cameras will have their own companies stitching software available to download from the manufacturers website. In this guide we will cover an overview of some of the cameras we have used at Virti.

Insta360 One X, One X2 or One R series

  1. Download the right version of the stitching software for your model

  2. Install the software onto your computer

  3. Import your raw footage from your camera

  4. Use the yellow markers to select start and end points in the video

  5. If the camera was in a static position, turn off FlowState stabilization as it can cause issues.

  6. Go to the file menu and select export

  7. Use either 3840 x 1920 px (4K) or 5760 x 2880 px (5.7K) resolution depending on your internet speed. (It will be transcoded on our backend once uploaded).

    1. Use 20Mbps and h264 codec if you are going to perform further editing in Adobe Premiere or other third party software or 15Mbps H265/HVEC codec if you are uploading directly to Virti.

    2. Higher quality originals will produce better results and future proof your content in expectation of VR headsets increasing their screen resolution in the future.
Most current headsets only support 4K total.

  8. Upload the stitched files into the media area at
