Adding an infobox to a simulation allows you to provide more information to the users. For example, during a patient examination simulation you may want to use an infobox to provide more information on what the doctor is looking for when inspecting the patient.

An infobox differs from a infobox hotspot in that an infobox will automatically appear at the selected time, whereas a hotspot will appear as an icon that a user needs to click on to show its contents. Infoboxes will pause the simulation until the user closes the box.

Follow the below steps to add an infobox to your simulation:

  1. From within your simulation, click on the 'Editor' tab

  2. Use the bar at the bottom of the page to select the time you would like the infobox to appear

  3. Right click on the simulation where you would like to add an infobox or select the interaction in the left navigation panel

  4. Add the text and an image if you require. Also add an interaction label so the infobox is easy to identify in list view. Adjust the timestamp, duration, position, opacity of the infobox or make it 'sticky' by clicking 'show more'

  5. Click 'Save Interaction'. You will then be presented with confirmation the question has been added

  6. Finally, click on the 'preview' tab to see how the infobox appears in your simulation
