The course analytics page is where you can view user performance data for a specific course.

1. Course Enrollment and Score Spread

Course Enrollment: shows what percentage of users assigned to this course have started it and what percentage still need training. On the example shown 100% of users have started the course.

Score Spread Per Module: shows a breakdown of the score spread for each module within the course. In the example shown only one module contains an assessment element and within this the scores ranged from 25%-100%

2. Knowledge Gain

This shows the average latest score (%) correct minus the average first score (%) correct on this course to calculate the knowledge delta (knowledge increase). This knowledge delta is then used to calculate the average knowledge gain across all users on this course. Hover over the calculator on this section of the dashboard to find understand more about how the knowledge gain is calculated.

3. Course Passes

This graph shows a comparison of average score against views for this course over time. Click the buttons in the top left to change the date range or enter a specific date range using the calendars in the top right.

4. Module Completions

This provides a breakdown of the average score for each of the modules within the course.

5. Effort vs Result

This graph divides users who have completed the course into four categories based on their number of attempts and score.

Needs stretch: Users who have attempted the course less than 5 times but have scored highly. If all users fall in this category (as in this example) it suggests that the assessments should be more challenging to push users

Praise for commitment: Users who have attempted the course over 5 times and have scored highly. This is where all users would ideally fall as it suggests that they are repeating the course modules to revise and improve their score.

Needs support: Users who have attempted the course over 5 times but are still scoring below 50%. These users may need additional support with their learning which should in turn improve their scores

Needs more effort: Users who have attempted the course less than 5 times and have scored under 50%. These users should be encouraged to complete the course modules again which should lead to a higher score
